Every year hundreds of radio stations around the country apply for the National Association of Broadcasters’ Crystal Radio Award. The honor is bestowed upon those who show excellence in year-round community service. Only ten stations win.
WMMR was one of the ten selected for 2020. They say it’s our commitment to giving back to the community. We add that it’s our wonderful staff and generous listeners who come through in even the toughest of years. Watch Man About Town’s presentation of this year’s award:
Thank you to the NAB for recognizing the efforts of the WMMR Staff in this most outrageous of years. We all agree that during this past year it was more important than ever to support the community so we found a way to continue nearly all of our annual charity events. And we’re not stopping!
The I Bleed for Preston & Steve Blood Drive, American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon, LLS’ Big Climb Philly, The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Take Steps & so many more events are on the horizon.
