We Can’t Stop Listening To Sammy Vile’s Cardboard Classic Song

We’re so close to Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic 2024. The entire 93.3 WMMR crew will head up to Scranton and turn Montage Mountain into a auxiliary radio station for the day. The broadcasts begin at 6am with The Preston & Steve Show, then continue with Pierre Robert who will spend his show out on the mountain during the 'Classic. Brent Porsche will close out the broadcast day from inside the lodge which by then will turn into a huge party! And just announced,  Jacky Bam Bam will be hanging out all day, spinning records and hosting parties.

To set the mood, the uber talented Sammy Vile laid down one of the best songs we have ever heard. Take a listen to his unofficial Cardboard Classic anthem and we'll see you on the mountain:

It’s also an all-ages event, everyone is welcome to attend! Cardboard Classic is the official kickoff of the weekend of Mountainfest festivities at Montage Mountain. Traditionally teams like to keep their sled theme a secret and wait for a big reveal on the mountain Friday morning. Luckily, there are a handful of teams who posted early looks at their competed designs. If you are jonesing for Cardboard content we collected here for you.

Cardboard Sled Union 933 has impressed us over the years with their creations including The Beatles' Yellow Submarine, a gigantic Harry Potter Train, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Brave Little Toaster, a breathtaking Falcor.

This year, they feel the need, the need for speed.

The great folks at Wilson's Secret Sauce can be counted on for two things: building their sled close to the deadline and incorporating DELCO into the design. The successfully did both of those this year:

Team Delco Cardboard Building Bitches won last year with their Gene Simmons Chicken. That's in addition to the Blue Suede Shoe, Kathy’s High Heel , I Just Got Out Of The Shower, Turntable, Eagles Bird Cage, and Wile E. Coyote themes they have brought to the mountain over the years. 

For the 2024 Cardboard Classic they are on a quest for fun.

Sled Heads will forever be synonymous with the infamous Peanutmobile. They also created The Grinch, the massive Wienermobile, perfectly to scale version of Pierre Robert’s Minerva, Popemobile, Better Off Dead, Animal House, Birdbot, Vacation, Foot Juice. 

This year, they're just snow.

Dave Thompson and the crew at Lakeside Collision CARSTAR in Mount Laurel have outdone themselves. They have surprised us with One Crazy Summer The Boat & Shark, Smokey And The Bandit, Rockem Sockem Robots, Wheel of Fortune. 

This year they have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes.
