Flea Cast In Film Adaptation of ‘Boy Erased’
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea is adding to acting resume again.
The bassist has signed on for an undisclosed role in Boy Erased, a drama adapted from the Garrard Conley‘s book Boy Erased: A Memoir that deals with the author’s coming out in a fundamentalist family that sent him to gay conversion therapy. The film is being directed by Joel Edgerton and will star Lucas Hedges as the main character and Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe as his parents. Troye Sivan, Xavier Dolan and Cherry Jones are also in the cast. Boy Erased will begin production this fall and is slated for a late 2018 release.
Flea has previously appeared in the two Back To The Future sequels, the recent Baby Driver, The Big Lebowski, My Own Private Idaho, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Inside Out and more.
