A7X’s Expanded Version of ‘The Stage’ Pushed Back to December 22
Avenged Sevenfold fans will have to wait a bit longer for the deluxe, expanded edition of the group’s latest album, The Stage — but only a week.
The set’s release has been bumped from December 15 to the 22nd “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to a statement. “However,” the group adds, “the good news is that the enhancements make it worth the wait. Put it on your A7Xmas list and stay tuned as 2018 keeps shaping up to be fucking awesome.”
The new version of the album includes the bonus cover songs A7X has been releasing this year — the Rolling Stones‘ “As Tears Go By,” Del Shannon‘s “Runaway,” the Beach Boys‘ “God Only Knows,” Mr. Bungle‘s “Retrovertigo,” the Mexican traditional “Malaguena Selerosa” and the just-released cover of Pink Floyd‘s “Wish You Were Here” — along with one new song, “Dose,” and live versions of “The Stage,” “Paradigm,” “Sunny Disposition” and “God Damn.”
Pre-orders are being taken at the group’s official web site.
A7X begins a North American headlining tour on January 12 in Nashville, with Breaking Benjamin and Bullet For My Valentine opening.
