Foo Fighters Announce How to Watch Pre-Super Bowl Concert, Release Throwback Football Video
In November 2018, the Foo Fighters announced they would be headlining DIRECTV’s Super Saturday Night concert, with Run The Jewels providing support. Of course, in true Foo fashion, they couldn’t just announce streaming details in only the written word. No, there had to be a short film, too. As Pierre Robert would say: Sports Up!
Fans looking to watch the February 2 pre-Super Bowl concert can do so on DIRECTV’s Audience Network (Ch. 239.) If you’re not a DIRECTV subscriber, you’re still in luck! The concert will also be streaming via DIRECTV’s Twitter account. The live stream will begin at 10:30 PM EST, and the Foo Fighters’ set will begin at 11:00 PM.
Now, as for that short film, you can check it out in all of its vintage ‘70s glory below. Along with the Foos starring as the starting lineup for the fictional San Fernando Jackalopes, the clip also features Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan. As with previous Foo videos, some light drag is involved, and similar to the “Learn To Fly” video, Taylor Hawkins is the prettiest one, even with some facial stubble.
