On March 3, 2023, Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic finally returns. The rules will be the same, but the location has changed.
Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA will be the new home of MMR’s winter sled competition. And it kicks off a big weekend on the mountain.
Following the Cardboard Classic, Everclear will play Friday night. Saturday will be Pond Skimming at noon followed by concerts from Lit and headliners, Fuel. The festivities wrap with a fireworks show on Saturday night. It’s all part of Mountainfest at Montage Mountain.
Like in past years, Cardboard Classic is a free event, but buying a lift ticket for any day that weekend gets you admission to the concerts. GA tickets are also available.
Cardboard Classic invites listeners to make sleds using only glue, string, paint and cardboard. The sleds are raced down the tubing hill and win prizes based on categories like design, theme and speed.
