There’s not much to say about the start of the 76ers v Nets game last night. Ben Simmons showed up in South Philly, fans booed, Sixers looked a lot better than expected with majority of the starters being out.

Philly Voice writer and Philly sports fanatic, Shamus Clancy, reports that the crowd cheered when Ben Simmons was fouled in the first quarter solely for the fans’ opportunity to boo him more. To the everyone’s dismay, Simmons made those shots. But he made up for it in the third.

When Simmons was fouled in the second half, fans knew that missing the shots meant more than a win for Philadelphia. It also meant free Chick-fil-A. The Wells Fargo Center went wild after the first missed foul shot and physically exploded after the second. It was beautiful.
