Infamous Bill Weston ‘Santa’s Gotta Go’ T-Shirt Flash Sale Has Been Extended

Fans of The Preston & Steve Show know that santa's gotta go, but now he's going to be gone forever!

Bill Weston was Program Director (aka the boss!) at 93.3 WMMR for 19+ years. That's on top of a long radio career that took him to cities like New York City and Providence before landing in Philadelphia. Over the summer, Bill announced that he would be retiring on December 31, 2023.

What a better way to celebrate Man About Town's legacy than with a t-shirt?!

Here's the story: Back when Casey's kids were very young, The Preston & Steve Show Producer called Santa's friend, Bill in a pinch. Little did Bill know, Casey was in the studio recording the whole thing. Casey was in full dad mode, asking questions to "Santa" on behalf of his daughter. He was asking things like, "are the elves your kids?" and "what is Santa's wife's name?". That's how we got the famous Annabelle quote. But it's the very end, when the whole call began to unravel, and Bill spouted out, "I don't know what you want... Santa's gotta go."

The MMR Rock Shop has immortalized this moment for the holidays.

How did the longtime Program Director of 93.3 WMMR earn this prestigious honor? According to Preston & Steve Show lure, actor Ed Begley, Jr. used the phrase "low hanging fruit" during a 2020 interview. Nick followed up with another Man About Town-ism and just like that, Preston declared April 21st Talk Like Bill Weston Day.
