I Prevail Drummer Bakes Cookies on Stage Mid-Concert
Try to top this, TikTok. Gabe Helguera, the drummer from I Prevail, poured, mixed, scooped and baked cookies between songs and during drum breaks.
@iprevailband took to Instagram and posted a video of Gabe jamming out on stage while baking chocolate chip cookies. How does one bake like a rock star? Well, high energy and impeccable multitasking skills are the first steps to success.
Before the concert, the band’s instruments weren’t the only thing set up. A mini camera and a table with pre-measured ingredients, a bowl, a whisk and an air-fryer were set next to the rocker’s drum set. Once I Prevail took the stage, it was baking time!
This is how Gabe Helguera baked like a rock star:
- Step 1: Add the butter and sugar. Jam out to your next song.
- Step 2: Crack an egg with your drumstick, then mix it up until the band counts you in to the next song.
- Step 3: Throw in the flour, pour the chocolate chips in, mix the batter, then scoop out to cook the cookies in the air-fryer – all in one break!
- Step 4: After the cookies baked through a few songs, voila! *Chef’s kiss* They are finito!
Gabe stood up tall, proudly revealing the cookies in the air-fryer to the crowd of head bangers. The serving size… is about how many you can bake in time!
Backstage, Eric Vanlerberghe (vocalist) dared to try one of the cookies. He took a bite, then mumbled “Tastes like sh*t, but I guess you made cookies.” Looking straight into the camera, Gabe replied “You know I did!”
On July 9th, I Prevail will kickoff their North American tour with Halestorm. Special guests include Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King. The tour includes a stop at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain on July 24th. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8th at 10AM local time. Visit iprevailband.com.
