A Birthday Wish For Brian Jones Of The Rolling Stones

Brian Jones was born on February 28, 1942. He was the founder, rhythm/lead guitarist, and original leader of the Rolling Stones. He was initially a guitarist. But he went on to sing backing vocals and played a wide variety of instruments on Rolling Stones recordings and in concerts.
He founded the Rolling Stones and gave the band its name in 1962. Then, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger began to take over the band’s musical direction. They were a successful songwriting team.
Jones was a gifted multi-instrumentalist. He knew how to play a wide variety of musical instruments. His ability to play a wide variety of instruments is most evident on the albums Aftermath, Between the Buttons, and Their Satanic Majesties Request.
In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Rolling Stones. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1969 after a long time of drug issues. We lost such a gifted person way too soon.
Today, though, we remember his remarkable life and celebrate his birthday! He brought the world one of the greatest bands of al time, and for that, I am forever grateful.
