BILLY CORGAN Called CHAD KROEGER “An Incredible Songwriter”: Loudwire
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan praised Chad Kroeger of Nickelback for being what he calles “an incredible songwriter”. On Joe Rogan’s podcast, Corgan compared Nickelback to pornography, saying “I don’t think there’s anything wrong if that’s who you want to be. Pop music is porn; it’s predicated on satisfying. (That’s) just not in my DNA… I was never that guy.”
It’s a bit of a backhanded compliment, but a compliment nonetheless. Corgan also discussed Kurt Cobain’s death and the reunion of Guns N’ Roses in that interview.
