Many of our bus aides have gone through our training program to obtain their CDL and are now some of our best drivers. Below is some information brief information regarding each position.
Drivers Requirements
Class B CDL with P and S endorsements (CDL has to be in New Jersey). Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal background test and drug test.
Aide Requirements
Must be able to pass a criminal background test and drug test. Experience working with children preferred but not necessary.
Mechanic
Minimum of four to five years Medium/Heavy truck Fleet mechanic repair experience. Diagnostic, Electrical, and AC skills are a must. Mechanical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment is required. Have previous fleet experience and are familiar with diesel and gasoline systems. Possess the recommended minimum hand tools for a Master Technician. Prefer ASE Certification as a Master Truck Technician. Ability to use good judgment and Decision-Making skills. Must pass DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen, and a background check.
Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred)
McGough Bus Company, Inc. was founded by Henry McGough in 1977 and was incorporated in 1979. Since then, our 149 fleet has been providing school bus services for private, parochial and charter school systems throughout Southern New Jersey.
Our services include but are not limited to student transportation services, activity transportation services and field trips as well as sports activity trip transportation.
