VIDEO: Rami Malek on “Becoming Freddie”
Bohemian Rhapsody has been a long time coming, and while there have been numerous ups and downs in its production, it goes without saying that the casting of Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury was game-changing for the film.
The official Queen YouTube page released a new video highlighting Malek coming on board for Bohemian Rhapsody and the exhausting work he did to truly capture the essence of the one-of-a-kind frontman. The most interesting takeaway is the fact that Malek didn’t work with a “choreographer”; he worked with a “movement coach.” You might be asking yourself, “Is there a difference between the two?” One look at the behind-the-scenes footage below, and yeah…there’s a MASSIVE difference.
And clearly, it was well worth it.
Bohemian Rhapsody opens in the theaters nationwide on November 2.
