Flashback: Actress & Activist Bridget Moynahan inspired by Camp Out for Hunger
While announcing Bridget Moynahan‘s birthday early this morning (Sept 21), we were reminded of the time last December when the beautiful actress and amazing world activist shared the details about Camp Out for Hunger to all her followers.

Coolest. Moment. Ever.
But it did raise the question: how did the Camp Out buzz reach Hollywood? Reddit user /Mzilikaz81 posted a link to the 2016 totals webpage with the headline “A Philadelphia radio show raised 683 tons of food and $75,000 for a local food bank in 5 days” and the community loved it. Literally.
The story was Up Voted (the Reddit term for “liking a post”) so many times that it became the #1 story in Uplifting News sub-category for the day and #8 overall on the site.
It’s hard for anyone to compete with Spiderman!
Almost a year later we are still grateful to Bridget and all the Reddit users for sharing the news about our largest Camp Out For Hunger collection yet!
Ps: Bridget, our offer stands, we would LOVE to have you join us for the 2017 Camp Out for Hunger broadcast in Philadelphia.
