Green Day Tapped for Game Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Green Day will be closing out 2019 and kicking off 2020 with two high-profile performances.

First, the band is booked to perform live during The Game Awards, which recognizes the best of 2019 in the world of video games and esports. In addition to performing, Green Day is also expected to share a “special announcement” during the show. The Game Awards take place Thursday, December 12 at 8:30 PM ET and can be streamed on Twitch, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Following that performance, Green Day is also appearing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, which kicks off at 8 PM ET on ABC. The band will be part of a group of acts performing on the West Coast during the broadcast that also includes Paula Abdul, Salt-N-Pepa and many more, per The Hollywood Reporter.
