Jacky Bam Bam’s Tribute to Frankie Banali
Deeply saddened by the loss of FRANKIE BANALI (Quiet Riot/WASP.. Toured w/Faster Pussycat/Steppenwolf/Billy Idol) He was a great guy that I had many laughs with every time we spoke. He fought a hard 16 month battle fighting Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. I was following him through this journey with his treatments and setbacks but he kept on keeping on! He was a warrior and so brave in this challenge. He is now resting in peace, pain free in Rock and Roll Heaven Celebrating again how Quiet Riot became the first band to have the First #1 Heavy Metal Album Metal Health with his best friend Kevin Dubrow and all of his favorite rescue animals.
Losing Kevin was a shock and now a tragedy with Frankie. He was always real about things, no bullshit that’s why we got along taking about being a Vegetarian and being such a powerful drummer who loved Bonham! I express my prayers and condolences to his wife Regina & daughter Ashley as well as his family and friends. I will be watching the QUIET RIOT Movie: Well Now You’re Here- There’s No Way Back. That band upstairs unfortunately is getting so much bigger and better.
Here is my interview from a few years back with Frankie which I speak to him about everything Quiet Riot, eating cheese steaks in Philly with Kevin, his suit in Hearing Aid, The Iconic QR Mask, Keeping Slade alive, The US Festival. BANG YOUR HEAD FOR FRANKIE BANALI !!! He will Live on Forever. Thanks for everything Frankie. I will miss you. We will send you off the way you wanted to go with laminates for all at a Rainbow Party!!
