Mural Arts Monument Lab stretches across a dozen locations citywide. A curated selection of 20 artists from across the world, including 11 from Philadelphia, crafted the artwork that makes up Monument Lab. Veterans Day Weekend at the Museum of the American Revolution (101 S 3rd St.). Join us to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday November 10 and commemorate Veterans Day on November 11 with free admission to veterans Friday through Sunday as well as special programs and activities related to early American soldiers. Throughout the weekend visitors can experience programs and storytelling based on Revolutionary War pension narratives in which veterans and widows wrote about their wartime experiences, their families, and their postwar lives. Explore the stories behind the rare photographs of people who lived through the Revolutionary War that conclude the Museum’s exhibits. Write a note thanking the soldiers of today for their service. Veterans Parade and Commemorative Ceremony in Lower Makefield at 1pm returning for its 11th year, honoring our country’s veterans and active-duty military personnel. The parade steps off at Edgewood and Long Acre, followed by a commemorative ceremony at Veterans Square Monument. The parade features veterans from various eras, including this year’s parade marshal, WWII veteran Carl N. Wallnau Jr. and Pennsbury High School’s world-renowned band will be performing.
