50th Birthday Special Weekend: 2004
MMR turns 50 this year! Throughout 2018, we will help to celebrate our milestone 50th Birthday with a series of special weekends. Each will focus on a specific year of our history rockin Philly and the music from that year. Next up – we will celebrate 2004 – MMR turned 36, and it’s the year Harvard students got a first look at something called Facebook, Martha Stewart landed in jail, the Feb 2004 Super Bowl saw the infamous Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, and the 2004 NFL season led to the Eagles second Super Bowl appearance the following Feb. Musically, we saw the release of some great albums, including U2’s How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, Green Day’s American Idiot, Velvet Revolver, The Killer’s Hot Fuss… and lots, lots more from 2004!! So tune in – rock out – and enjoy! Here are some upcoming weekends on tap (subject to change):
