Could A New Foo Fighters Album Be Released in 2020?
Foo Fighters have sporadic festival and headlining dates through early October, and from the sounds of it, their upcoming offtime from the road might be spent on working on new music.
Drummer Taylor Hawkins said in an interview with Rock Sound, “From what I’ve heard from our fearless leader Dave Grohl, he has a lot of demos that he’s worked on. I think we’ll start once this tour is over, this little U.K.-ish run, this Euro/U.K. run, I think not too soon after that, we’ll start the process of putting the songs together as a band. It’s a long process. We do a lot of demoing and stuff. But I think that we’ll have, I’m hoping, I think we’ll have a new record by next year. We should.”
Foo Fighters return stateside for the Bourbon & Beyond Festival on September 20 in Louisville, Ky. and the Pilgrimage Festival on September 22 in Franklin, Tenn. before heading to Brazil to headline Rock in Rio on September 28.
