Green Day Perform ‘Father of All,’ ‘Basket Case’ on American Music Awards
Green Day helped provide the pop-dominated American Music Awards with a hefty dose of rock with a performance honoring their past and present. On the red carpet before, Billie played a medley of songs that they are not playing on stage:
The band opened with performing “Father of All…” the title track from their upcoming 13th studio album that’s due out February 7, 2020. They then honored the 25th anniversary of their landmark album Dookie with a rousing performance of “Basket Case.”

The performance was introduced by Billie Eilish who said, “Growing up there was no band more important to me or my brother.”
