The Forest View Movement – Jaxon’s Local Shots Artist of the Month
The Forest View Movement is an alternative group based out of southern New Jersey, right outside of Philadelphia. What originally started off as a bunch of high schoolers jamming in a basement after school quickly became a full-fledged band after singer/songwriter Zack Treusch was introduced to the group through a mutual friend. Their relationships with one another soon became that of a brotherhood.
Together, members Anthony Drzal, Justin Drzal Jr., Joe Reader, & Zack Truesch immediately began writing original music and finding gigs at any local venue that would have them. Since forming in 2015, The Forest View Movement has released a demo album and three EPs. They have crafted their live sound and have played at various venues across Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and even Austin, Texas during the annual South By Southwest Festival. They also performed multiple times at the University of Delaware’s annual charity event, “UDance” – one that brings out thousands of people to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Currently, they are in the process of recording a full-length album and scheduling live performances!
On June 12, The Forest View Movement will be premiering a live set on YouTube! The set is going to be professionally filmed at The Union Firehouse in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. This performance is in support of the Nicky Green Foundation’s annual event called Nicky’s Run – an event that promotes youth suicide awareness and prevention. Nicky Green, who we lost to suicide in 2012, was a close friend to members of the band. This performance really means a lot to them so we hope you can tune in!
