Jeff LaBar, Cinderella Guitarist, Dies at 58
Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar has died. He was 58.
LaBar’s passing was confirmed by his son, Sebastian, in an Instagram post that read, “So i just got the call… @jefflabar , my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop! If you could, please share pictures or video of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.” A cause of death was not revealed.
LaBar played on all four of Cinderella’s studio albums: 1986’s Night Songs, 1988’s Long Cold Winter, 1990’s Heartbreak Station and 1994’s Still Climbing.
A number of figures in the rock world took to Twitter to pay their respects to LaBar upon learning of his passing. Here are just some of the notable reactions, including a statement from LaBar’s Cinderella bandmate Tom Keifer and our own Jacky Bam Bam (you can hear his interview with Jeff here).
