Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic

Sponsored By Montage Mountain

We have officially made it. Jelloman Philly, the guy who caught our attention crowd surfing down Broad St. after the NFC Championship, is coming to Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic.

Although he’s new in our lives, Jelloman, aka Paul Vile, has been tossing out jello shots for years. We’ve crossed paths at tons of concerts, tailgates and championship parades and didn’t even know it!

That’s why he’ll for sure be highlighted at Montage Mountain for Cardboard Classic on March 3rd. Front an center for everyone who wants to partake. Everyone who is of legal age of course.

We’re keeping some of the details under wraps, but knowing Jelloman’s ability to hype up the crowd, and the insanity that Cardboard Classic brings to the mountain, we’re expecting the perfect pairing.

“I’m bringing close to 4,000 jelloshots and my custom jelloman cart.” –  Jelloman Philly

Look for the special 21+ Jelloman area during Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic. And, judging by these photos below, it looks like he’ll be hanging out all weekend for Mountainfest. LONG LIVE JELLOMAN PHILLY.

Tips for Spectators Attending Preston & Steve's Cardboard Classic

The Cardboard Classic is back! After a brief hiatus, Preston & Steve’s coldest event of the year returns with a new home at Montage Mountain. Technically we’re all “first time spectators” at this new location, but there are still a few questions that we can answer and tips to provide for anyone coming out. Especially the Cardboard Classic virgins!

We suggest reading through the tips, many of which were provided by people who have been attending for years! Then scroll though the crowd shots at the bottom to get an idea of what’s in store as spectators of the event.

  • Is the event free / do I need a lift ticket?

Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic is free for all attendees. If you would like to ski, snowboard and or stay for Moutainfest festivities, lift tickets can be purchased here.

  • Dress warm

One Cardboard Classic regular suggested wearing layers to protect against the elements. The event goes from early morning to late afternoon, expect the temps to change!

Another attendee recommended wearing boots. They added that wet feet from getting snow in your sneakers can put a damper on your day.

  • Pack refreshments

Feel free to bring along snacks and refreshments for the day. Bars, restaurants and grab & go areas at Montage Mountain will also be open to spectators beginning at 7am.

  • Arrive Early for the Full Experience

The sled racing begins between 10 – 10:30am. Parking lots open at 6am. Sleds start arriving and setting up on the course at 7am. Spectators are invited to come out and see the sleds before the race, meet the teams and enjoy the day with your fellow Preston & Steve Listeners!
