WREXHAM, WALES - DECEMBER 09: Co-Owners Wrexham AFC Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds talk as they wait for the arrival of King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort for their visit to Wrexham AFC on December 09, 2022 in Wrexham, Wales. Formed in 1864, Wrexham AFC is the third oldest professional football team in the world. The club was taken over by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in late 2020. Last year, on April 14th, Ryan Reynolds gave Rob McElhenney a urinal for his birthday. On October 23rd, Rob one upped the birthday gift game by getting Ryan a blimp.

This year, Ryan set the bar high. Really high.

The Wrexham owner teamed up with composers Justin Paul and Benj Pasek to write, sing and perform a Broadway quality song about his friend and co-owner. The two minute video is stacked with cameos featuring everyone from Kaitlin Olsen, to Jason Kelce and Wrexham players, front office and fans.

How they kept this major production a secret is amazing.

If you ever wanted to know how to pronounce Rob’s last name correctly and even harder, how to spell it correctly, than this video is for you. It provides phonetic tips with rhymes and catchy lyrics, ” First it’s Mackle like a tackle… then Henny like a Penny… Mac instead of Mic.”

All of this while clips of Rob’s most iconic performances flash between pub scenes and funny photos.

“A birthday card might’ve been easier” was Ryan caption to the post. If you haven’t already watched it a thousand times, you can see it right here:
