The Man, The Myth, ‘The Machine’: Bert Kreischer’s Movie Opens 5/26
That’s right folks, grab your beer and popcorn and get ready for some mayhem. This morning, Preston and Steve got to chat with our best friend Bert Kreisher via phone call. The comedian-turned-movie-star is preparing for the upcoming release of his film ‘The Machine’, which comes out on May 26th.
‘The Machine’ is an action-comedy inspired by Bert’s real-life experience, 23 years after the original story. The original story recounts his experience with Russian mobsters during a drunken college trip. Now, that trip has come back to haunt him, and he has to retrace the steps of his younger self, which is portrayed by Jimmy Tatro.
During Preston and Steve’s chat with Bert, he elaborated on his interaction with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold reached out to him to talk about fitness, and they even went to the gym together recently, with Schwarzenegger posting the iconic moment to Instagram. Bert talked about becoming friends with Snoop Dogg, as well as working alongside superstar Mark Hamill, who plays Bert’s father in the film.
Bert, like many people, has dreams and aspirations for what comes next after this film. He wants to be a Hollywood movie star, and yet at the same time wants to drop off the face of the Earth and to move to a remote destination like South Africa. Wherever it may be, we just hope he keeps in touch with us, his very best friends.
In preparation for the film’s release, Bert is having a red-carpet screening for the film on May 25th, where fans can order tickets to stream it the night before it comes out. The last time we spoke to Bert back in March, he promised to fly The Gang out for the premier of ‘The Machine’…
