Rest in Peace, Captain Noah
Captain and Mrs. Noah came in to visit us on January 12, 2007 and it was one of the best interviews we’ve ever had on our show.

Sad news to report. I like to think Captain Noah is with Mrs. Noah right now on their magical ark singing a rainbow. https://t.co/X87XPCrtOn

At its peak,'Captain Noah and His Magical Ark' drew a larger local Philly audience than both Captain Kangaroo and Sesame Street combined.

Here’s a nice retrospective from WHYY, including cameos by many people, including Charles Barkley:
A funny article from our friend, Victor Fiorillo:
Captain Noah Remembered: The Time He and Mrs. Noah Drank Me Under the Table – via PhillyMag.com.
A portion of his obituary, via 6ABC.com:
W. Carter Merbreier, known for decades to children’s television audiences as Captain Noah, died Tuesday morning at his home in Audubon, Pennsylvania after battling a short illness. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday. Merbreier, who was an ordained Lutheran minister and former chaplain for the Philadelphia Police Department, created and co-hosted the long-running syndicated children’s television series “Captain Noah and His Magical Ark,” which aired on 6abc (WPVI-TV) in Philadelphia for 27 years.
Patricia Merbreier (aka Mrs. Noah) died on June 23, 2011, aged 86, following a long illness.
