New Record! This “real life Iron Man” set a record for the fastest time in a Jet Suit!
Wait, is it Steve?! (No, it isn’t.)
This flying attempt took place at Lagoona Park in Reading, (the United Kingdom version, not the Pennsylvania version) as a part of the celebrations for Guinness World Records Day 2017, which is November 9th.
Richard Browning, who is the founder and chief test pilot for a British tech company called Gravity Industries, has made it into the record books with the brand new Guinness World Records title for the “Fastest speed in a body controlled jet engine powered suit.” He’s flying! He’s really flying!!
On his third and last timed attempt, Browning made it up to a speed of over 32 miles per hour before dropping into the lake. But by then, it didn’t matter because Richard had already made it into the history books with this game-changing invention!
