Golden Globes: 2024 Best Original Song Noms Include Bruce Springsteen, Jack Black, Lenny Kravitz
The nominees for Best Original Song at the 2024 Golden Globes pack some of the biggest star power of all of the award show’s categories.
Among the songs nominated are “Addicted to Romance” from the film She Came to Me. The song is written and performed by Bruce Springsteen.
Also nominated is “Peaches” from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The song is written by Jack Black, Aaron Horvath, Michael Jelenic, Eric Osmond and John Spiker. The song, of course, is sung by Black, who voiced Bowser in the hit family film.
Lenny Kravitz is among the nominees for “Road to Freedom,” which he wrote and recorded for Rustin. The film chronicles the life of civil rights activist Bayard Rustin.
Of course, those three songs are up against a trio of songs from the blockbuster film Barbie. The three songs nominated from Barbie are:
- “Dance the Night” by Dua Lipa (Written by Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, Dua Lipa and Caroline Ailin.)
- “I’m Just Ken” by Ryan Gosling (Written by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.)
- “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish (Written by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.)
The Golden Globes will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. Keep scrolling to the list of nominees in their entirety.
Springsteen’s Rough 2023
This Golden Globe nomination for Springsteen certainly helps The Boss end 2023 on a high note. In September, he was forced to postpone his remaining 2023 tour dates until 2024. The reason for the postponement was that Springsteen was recovering from peptic ulcer disease.
Fortunately, his rescheduled dates will kick off in March 2024. He’s also on his way to a full recovery after making a surprise appearance at the annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit, where he performed with John Mellencamp.
