Meredith & Creed, also known as Kate Flannery & Creed Bratton, swung by The Preston & Steve Studios. They are in town for the Philly Fan Expo and will be hosting “The Office” focused fan events all weekend with Rainn Wilson and Oscar Nunez.

Did you know that Kate Flannery got a concussion from the strike, scream, run scene? What the hell, Tobey? That’s just one of the many stories we got from the longtime co-stars.
Okay, “concussion” might be a little over dramatic, but Creed really did go for it with that smack. With Kate’s permission. “You gotta take one for the team sometimes,” she laughed.
It wasn’t always a contact sport on set. In season one, the showrunner asked the cast to bring their own personal paperwork to set to work on and look genuinely busy in the background. Kate did her own taxes while Creed played a lot of Spider Solitaire. “I think that really helped… it set a tone and set a vibe… literally, the camera guys were shooting us like animals in the wild.”
“The Office” cast is still one big family.
The rhythm these two have is wildly entertaining. They effortlessly complement each other’s humor. That’s what happens when you work together for nine years. Apparently there is an unreleased recording they did of Pennsylvania Polka that we’re very interested in hearing! And it you caught the AT&T ad that reunited Kate, Creed, and Rain with co-stars Brian Baumgartner, Craig Robinson, and Jenna Fischer you’ll know that it’s a common theme for this crew.
Fandom for The Office runs deep, and not just because we’re Philly based and Scranton adjacent.(phrase stolen from Kate!). But the cast loves it. “We have the best fans in the world, no joke!.” Kate exclaimed, even though she is constantly on the receiving end of people shouting, “I’m the Meredith of my office!.” loud and proud!
“People couldn’t go to the real office, so they came to ours. It made them normal,” Kate Flannery on the popularity of The Office growing during COVID.
Creed experienced the peak of ‘Office’ fandom during this tour. A women in the front row of the audience had DUNDER MIFFLIN tattooed on the inside of her lip. Creed’s reactions while recounting the story were priceless. To paint the picture, he was referring to the “mouth lip” not the other lip that gutter-minded Kate referred to!
