In the aftermath of the Phillies’ triumph, a viral video captured a fan dashing onto the field, eager to revel in the moment. But his impromptu victory lap was short-lived. The notorious security guard, Gary, transformed the baseball spectacle into a football-like tackle and brought the fan to the ground.
After The Preston & Steve Show talked about Gary on the air, his phone blew up with messages. He called into WMMR to discuss last night’s dramatics and the crew was ecstatic to talk to him. Two restaurants have come up with a way to celebrate the fearlessness that he showed on the field. Ducktown Tavern in Atlantic City and Tailgaters in Galloway have added a sandwich to their menus in his honor. It’s a burger which Gary himself named and created. It’s called the Laid the Phuck Out Burger and it’s topped with bacon, pork roll, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and BBQ sauce. This signature dish is $15, comes with a domestic beer and will only be served during Phillies playoff games.
