Things you may or may not know about Kate Flannery: She’s a native of the city of Philadelphia and an avid sports fan. More specifically, Kate is a diehard Phillies fan!
You probably know Kate from her role in the hit tv sitcom series, The Office. On the show she played the always cynical, super promiscuous, office drunk Meredith. She stopped by The Preston & Steve Show studio with nothing to promote. She was just in town, missed us and wanted to say hello. Just so happens it was the day after a huge Phillies win. Her greeting of “Whaaaaaaats up, Phill-ies fans? STILL DRUNK FROM LAST NIGHT” was a bit of reality imitating art. Or the other way around?

The Phillies are set to square off against the Arizona Diamondbacks when the NLCS begins on Monday. Kate said that she loves this “weird” team. The Archbishop Carroll graduate has Delco in her routes having been from such a passionate area she knows what it takes for a team to be “weird”. She shared an observation that perfectly described the 2023 “Daycare” kids. She said that “they are a big-league team with a minor league heart.” From someone who is a regular on the minor league ballpark circuit, that’s a big compliment.
