Green Day Launch a Coffee Line
Green Day is the perfect band to crank up when you need a burst of energy. Now, they’re giving us a java jolt with their new project: a coffee brand that’ll make your hare stand on end!
The trio introduced the Punk Bunny Coffee line with multiple roasts to choose from. Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt explained in a video posted to Instagram: “Billie Joe, Tre and I are on a mission to bring our fans and our friends the best coffee in the world… All Punk Bunny roasts are organic and fair trade. We now have our own roasting facility, and we’re partnering with amazing organic farmers all around the world.”
The band are committed to sustainability with this brand, and they’re partnering with Keurig to incorporate fully recyclable K-cup pods as a vessel for their delicious coffee.
They’re also planning to donate a portion of Punk Bunny profits to organizations that are hand picked by Green Day. The ‘Fueled By Love’ initiative will benefit One Tree Planted, Eat Learn Play, the Ron Finley Project and more.
What kind of coffee are Green Day roasting for us?
Here’s what the band are serving up:
-Father of All… Dark Roasts (Ultra Dark Roast)
-Soundcheck (Dark Roast)
-Last Ride In (Medium Dark Roast)
-Light Club (Light Roast)
Fans can opt in for a subscription plan to keep their coffee mugs full at all times. There’s also merch available on PunkBunnyCoffee.com.
